Each year, BDL staff members work with a diverse cross section of New York City schools to build their capacity to create and develop a competitive Speech & Debate team.

BDL hosts a biweekly scrimmage on Zoom from 3:45 to 6pm EST on Wednesdays. Sign up on tabroom and find our schedule below - entry fees are scaled for accessibility.

Each summer, BDL welcomes students in grades 9-12 to join us for a two-week, in-person summer camp. Partner schools receive scholarships to ensure intensive training before the competition season.
